TSM|TargetProfile captures key demographic data to enable more targeted and relevant media plans and recommendations.

Methodology

To capture the cleanest data possible, surveys are fielded entirely via mobile phone. Your audience is invited to take the survey from the TSM–enabled banner spaces within your content. The respondents then provide information using standard radio button and checkbox-style questions.

Implementation

Implementation is effortless. All of the required resources are already included in the TSM enablement process. Immediately upon enablement of ad spaces, TSM will begin delivering the survey banners. TSM|TargetProfile uses the ad tags to serve banners that include incentivized links to take the survey. No additional technology or new code needs to be implemented.

Publishers joining the TSM|Network receive this service for free, as the information helps provide better targeting and sales support for your inventory.

User Experience

A series of demographic questions are fielded to respondents who click on the banner invite and opt-in to take the survey. The average completion time is three minutes. After completing the survey, the user will be returned to the site from which they originated.

Sample Sizes

Sample sizes depend upon the publisher’s overall site traffic levels. We typically seek to capture 1% of the total monthly traffic to provide a strong idea of the frequent visitors’ demographics. This allows for a confidence level greater than 95%, and provides a strong weathervane for understanding the audience visiting your site. Surveys are incentivized with a sweepstakes to increase the response-rates and generate larger data sets.

Reporting

A detailed report will be provided shortly after the survey is complete, Answer sets to each question will be provided, highlighting your WAP site’s audience demographics.

Data Collection

No personal data is collected about your audience without permission. We do not release our survey respondents’ phone numbers or phone data. All surveys are entirely opt-in. We take our audience’s privacy very seriously. All responses are captured on secure servers, and no data is ever sold or shared with a third party.
